How much Covalance does on its own
Manual, Suggest, Approve and Auto: you decide, step by step, and nothing moves up by itself.
The four settings
- Manual: Covalance doesn’t draft. Each item comes to you to handle yourself.
- Suggest: Covalance drafts, and you check, change and send each one.
- Approve: Covalance drafts, and you approve each one, singly or several at once.
- Auto: Covalance sends on its own for the kinds of email you choose, after a short wait so you can undo, and anything it isn’t sure about still comes to you.
Nothing moves up by itself
Covalance may suggest moving a step up when your edits show you trust its drafts, but only a person changes the setting, and every change is recorded under Settings → Activity.
The owner can also set a step’s highest level, for example Approve for a step that should never act on its own. No one can choose above it, and Covalance never runs a step above it.
Steps that write to other apps
Steps that log replies in your CRM, add deals or tasks, draft bills and invoices, or book appointments have their own setting: off, once a person has checked or approved, or always.
